The Global Catalyst Group was started by Donald Ball during the economic crisis of 2008 when a new vision for leadership became paramount to our nation and the world. Stephen McMullin, Justin Tsang, and Ryan Coleman all shared Don’s feeling of responsibility and accountability to act and engage in the world’s longer-term success and sustainability. They joined him to recruit a team that is dedicated to building a new leadership and exploring the conversations that are influencing our world – these are the conversations that are changing history – and GCG is creating communities of innovation and embracing the intellectual curiosity and civic duty of its membership and partners to identify issues, seek solutions, and build a more sustainable future for tomorrow.

Donald Ball is the Founder of the Global Catalyst Group and a social entrepreneur. Previously, Don was a Senior Consultant with IBM’s Global Business Services in Washington, DC. He graduated from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with concentrated studies in Management and International Business. Don has also studied diplomacy in Eastern Europe with the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Comparative Strategic Management in Hong Kong through Georgetown University. He remains active with the Georgetown Alumni Admissions Program and the MSB Alumni Mentor Program.

Ryan Coleman is a Founding Member of the Global Catalyst Group and the CEO (Chief Executive Optimist) of NextForce, LLC (www.thenextforce.com) which is a recruiting and consulting organization dedicated to providing information, research, stories, and perspective on the next generation in the workplace. Prior to founding Nextforce, Ryan earned his MBA from Mount St. Mary’s University. Ryan is passionate about building communities and prides himself on “connecting the seemingly unconnected.”

Stephen McMullin is a Founding Member of the Global Catalyst Group and a financial analyst in Goldman Sachs’ FICC and Equities division where he sits on the Electronic Trading Desk. Before Goldman, Stephen attended Georgetown University where he was a John Carroll Scholar. Stephen played A-Team Rugby and graduated Magna Cum Laude with concentrated studies in Finance and International Business.

Justin Tsang is a Founding Member of Global Catalyst Group and is the founder of Salescoop (www.thesalescoop.com), Scoop Street (http://www.scoopst.com) a social commerce company that harnesses the power of group buying to revolutionize the way consumers shop. Previously, Justin worked in the M&A Group at Houlihan Lokey, where he focused on the Environmental Technologies practice. Justin graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with honors in International Economics.
